Woods creek, Glen pass to Kearsarge junction

Day 32: Wednesday 10/7/2015, Woods creek PCT mile 800 to Kearsarge pass junction mile 788, distance 12 miles

Our camp at Woods creek.

I left early in the morning and went ahead. We were planning to meet up again at Rae Lakes two miles before the pass.

The sun didn't come over the ridge until about 9 am.

There are several beautiful lakes on the way up to Glen pass, definitely a place to come again.

After a while I saw footsteps ahead of me. Someone else had camped here and was now ahead. Maybe it will be easier finding the trail today.

Beautiful Rae lakes

I was waiting near the last lake and had my late breakfast. Eventually Hanna, Emily and Sophie arrived and we were ready to tackle the next pass.

The switchbacks up Glen pass turned out to be not quite as hard to find and navigate as Pinchott pass on the day before.

The view from the pass was stunning.

The top of Glen is a narrow ridge one has  to walk for a while to get to the trail on the other side of the pass.

Soon we were on our way down

Charlotte lake

We setup camp near the junction to Kearsarge pass. Several PCT hikers, Moody, Mantis, and Nut, whom I had met before passed by on their way towards Forester, the next and highest pass to the south.
