Back on the trail towards Forester

Day 34, Friday 10/9/2015, Onion Valley back to Kearsarge junction PCT mile 788 to 783, distance 12 miles

After a nice breakfast at the Mt Williamson Motel Strider drove Brett, Annie and me back to the trailhead.

With Strider

I was back up on the pass by noon.

At one of the lakes I had my first swim in a while. The weather was nice but the water temperature had dropped significantly over the last few days.

I was then on my way towards Forester pass. I had hiked Forester three years ago, but without the snow. Because of the recent rain and snow the water was flowing plentiful and the creeks were pretty.

I first thought that I might be able to make the pass today, but I might have ended up near the pass in the dark.

Just as I was looking for a campsite I met a group of three PCT hikers, Scooter Pie, Pancake, and with their dog Pants and we setup camp together.
